Free-skate Speed Wedge: for more efficiency and better control.

This small wedge gives the heel of the boot a little lift. This offer the advantage to get more pressure on the heels, which offers better control and steering capabilities. Ideal for skating at higher speeds ans for corrnering.The Speed-wedge can be post mounted on all nordic skates that has Salomon Pilot bindings.   

 

The Free-skate Speed Wedge is easiy to install. Only losen the last bolt and lift the hind part of the binding. Slip the wedge underneath and tighten the bolt again. In some cases the bolt should be replaced by a 3-5mm lnager one.

Skate-Soles

The Free-skate Skate-sole ar a bit stiffer and harder than the regular Salomon inner soles. The Skate sole offers you a better controlled stride as the were specifically designed for skating. The ankle stays better in line with the knee which makes the skating more efficient and easier.  

 

Jumpstart

The Free-skate Jumpstart is an accessoiry which makes it easier to "clilck on" your Free-skates. You walk to the ice, open the binding and put the blade of the skate into the Jaumpstart. Then you put your boot into the binding and close the binding. Step outof the Jump start and repeat this procedure for thy other skate. No hasslle, just convenience.

 

Full Return System (elastic strap)

The Full return system consists of a thin elastic strap which is fastened at the back of the skate and is mounted on the ankle (see picture). Some skaters who skate with somewhat higher frequenties like to get a "real" clap; like with track skates. The FRS allows the skate a swift and full recovery under the boot before going into the gliding fase. 

Sleeve

The Sleeve is a twin pocketed cover to stow the skates separated. The nylon/cotton fabric protectcs the skate for burrs and scratches and allows the Free-skates to stay unscaved for next skating events.
